New Artwork
I've been busy!
It was just project after project since July 2020! Though, I've unexpectedly made new sites this year, too. I'm quite proud of them since they were built with Carrd and I've played around with the platform's limits. My favorite one has to be the one I made for the DGS Countdown I'm hosting with Esha. It's just soooooooo elegant!
I'm considering opening commissions for them in the future since unlike Wordpress and static HTML sites, they don't require much maintenance so it just allows you to focus on the content and design more despite its limits. In the meantime, I'd like to do Carrd sites for fun as website design was what I was into before I made a career in UI Design.
Colorful logos~
I've been busy with my freelance work as usual. I'm currently juggling 3 UI commissions now before I resume working on a revamped version of the Evermore UI but I'm glad to have finally finished these logos! I'm quite proud of them because I love their color schemes so much!
I've also increased my prices earlier this month due to my large queue but I won't be accepting any more work until the end of the year so I can have a bit of downtime by December. I've also started dedicating my weekends to leisure- if you'd like to call them that. On Saturdays, I do some programming for Evermore, Cinderella Phenomenon's epilogue game while on Sundays, I work on merchandise so I don't cram them by the time a convention date's near. It also gives me something to look forward to every week.
Most of my events have been cancelled and/or postponed to next year due to the pandemic. That currently makes Doujima in Singapore the earliest convention to take place in 2021. Typically, it would be StickerCon in February but things feel uncertain with the state of my country. I just hope we'd have a safer 2021 once 2020 ends. I hope everyone's doing well~
Shiny Pixel Sites!!
I came across Sleepy Sprout through Asclaria's Smooth Sailing Listings and a couple more pixel sites like Apple Dust & Miky Glitter via Catch a Star. It got me nostalgic as I loved visiting personal pixel/sozai sites back in 2010.
It was nice seeing familiar faces like Pepo, too, since she was around since then. I took a shot at finding the archived pages of sites I really loved visiting (as their URLs now would lead to dead pages.)
Wherever you guys are now, I hope you're all doing well. Thank you for your inspiration over the years! One day, I hope to make a kawaii pixel site as well. Though, I'm more likely to make it vectors as I'm more well-versed with them thanks to my job. That, and I already have a huge backlog of sites I wanna make. Maybe when I have a more solid idea, I'd put it above the rest.
New Portfolio Items!
A project whose logo I made last year also got published recently~
And back again!
Found a good host for Dicesuki and decided to begin working on rebooting the sites starting with the Locked Heart site. I learned so much from doing On the Axis and Locked Heart was perfect as it was also a one-pager.
Just some of final touches left!
I'm so happy to work on this after 2 years! And I'm learning so much from my intense use of Google. W3Schools is truly an abundant and up-to-date resource along with occassional finds of Stack Overflow and Fiddler. :9
Can't wait!
It's Tris here! I'm so excited to get this project to come to life soon but I have other tasks to attend to at the moment. I hope not to take too long!
